Tour Itinerary
Day 1 : We start our Day in Inverness where we join onto the Official route of the NC500 stopping in various popular landmarks such as Dunrobin Castle, Duncansby Head and John 'o Groats, making our way to our first evenings stop along the Northern coastline.
Day 2: We begin Day 2 refreshed and ready for a fantastic days riding along the northern coastline of Scotland. The Smoo Caves are located nearby in Durness, and there is a guide that will take you deep into them for those feeling a little adventurous. At last visit he charged in the region of £5 per person to take you into the caves, and it takes around 30 mins but is a great little stop. We wind up our day in the quaint fishing village of Gairloch.
Day 3: After a good nights rest we make our way further round the West coast taking in the ever changing but always breathtaking scenery. We visit Applecross where we should stumble across some Highland Cows usually in the middle of the road once and also where we truly believe you get the best Scallops in the U.K. and then travel down the Bealach Na Ba (Pass of the Cattle). We meander our way round towards Garve where we can stop at the Rogie Falls to try and spot some Salmon leaping before making our way back to Inverness.
Day 4 (Of the 5 Day Option Tour): After a great nights rest we begin fresh faced and ready to be blown away with yet more outstanding scenery. We take you to a little known secret glen with views that will have you reaching for your camera before you've barely had time to kick the side stand down. After taking a few snaps we continue on our way down the side of Loch Ness making our way to Invermoriston which has a lovely picture opportunity that most miss as when you see it your already too late. So great ready to see what many people only get a glimpse of. We continue on round Loch Ness and make our way round some great biking roads and eventually back up the East side of the Loch stopping at Falls of Foyers amongst other things and finishing up back in Inverness for the evening.
Day 5 (Of the 5 Day Option Tour): Passing the Official site of the Battle of Culloden we head towards one of our favourite roads in the region, The Little Dava to Carrbridge. We continue down toward Aviemore and head deep into the Cairngorm Mountains where we can pick up some spectacular views. We now head toward Grantown on Spey and touch on the Official Whisky Trail. We wind our way through some open countryside and make our way towards the old fishing town of Nairn before ending our day back in Inverness.
A must do tour for motorcyclists. Everything is arranged for you so no looking for accommodation or places to eat. Keith, Alan and Sam are all great guys and are so knowledgeable of the sights and history. The tour covers roads you would not know are their so these guys are a must. Fun and laughter all week. I can highly recommend this and hope to do it all again next year.
